colamo.org is a Java-based mobile collaborative framework. It enables the access to any service on any device and allows Java-compliant mobile phones / PDAs the access on server-applications.

 

colamo.org is based on open source software. The open developping background enables Java programmes to be made portable without much effort. colamo.org with its transparent and open interface can be used by every modern software system for mobile services.

 

 

As a community it is our mission to create the leading mobile collaborative application framework that will run on all major mobile platforms, enable secure data-transfer and provide access to all functionalities and data through open-component based APIs, protocols and webservices.

 

colamo.org uses the GPL (GNU General Public License). For documentation and website content which is not intended to be included in the product we use the Public Documentation License (PDL).

colamo.org is guided by the three maintainers Neuberger & Hughes, inmedias.it and Rahlfs+Ross Multimedia. They are responsible for controlling the Project goals and generally providing a forum for colamo.org.

colamo.org is an Open Source project. We offer not only a product but a process and we depend on the contributions of developers and end-users to make that process happen. Much of the excitement of colamo.org is distributed in the mailing list. We suggest you to subscribe if you are curious.
